NAS 355 - Coastal Processes

Prerequisite(s): NAS 243, NAS 248, MIS 206.
This course will focus upon the biogeochemical and geomorphological processes that commonly occur in coastal environments. Course topics include: nutrient and organic matter dynamics, aerobic and anaerobic environments, seawater buffers and coastal erosion, sediment transport, and the formation and evolution of beaches, dunes and barrier islands.
