ENG 477 - Research Assistant


Credits: 1-3

Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor. ENG major or minor. Junior Standing.
As a research assistant, the student will work with a member of the Department of English in developing projects that are intended for professional conference presentation, publication, or otherwise advance scholarship in literary study. The student's duties may include: library research in primary and secondary materials, literature review, and providing assistance in organizing, editing, and proofreading manuscripts. The faculty member determines the number of credit hours for the course 1-3 based on the scope of the project. Students must perform 40 hours of assistance for each credit hour rewarded. Students must keep and submit for instructor approval a detailed log of their time and the duties performed. This course is graded as Pass/Fail.
