ANT 371 - Archaeological Artifact Analysis

Prerequisite(s): ANT 220.
This is an introductory hands-on course in which students learn step-by-step how to identify and conduct visual analysis of archaeological materials. We will look at historic and prehistoric ceramics, historic glass, lithics, metals, flora and fauna. Students will put their newly acquired knowledge to use analyzing artifacts from a local excavation.
