ECO 355 - American Economic History

Prerequisite(s): ECO 212 
This course will use economic methods of inquiry into the trends and events of the history of the United States, and also study the long-run development of the U.S. economy. Topics will include the economic motivations for colonization of the North American continent, the American Revolution, the founding of the United States, early industrialization and economic growth, slavery and the American Civil War, The Great Depression, and 20th century macroeconomic trends.
