INT 200WI - Introduction to International Studies


Credits: 3

INT 200 is the core course of the International Studies major. It is meant to introduce students to the variety of approaches to international studies in the social sciences and the humanities. In this course, students will become familiar with the various perspectives of different disciplines and will apply them to a variety of global issues. The course is both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary, as students will understand how disciplines approach problems and questions, as well as how different disciplines connect with one another especially when studying the imapcts of globalization today. The course will help students to develop the capacity to understand the interrelationships between multiple perspectives, such as personal, social, political, economic, cultural, environmental, local, and global.
