ANT 405 - Maritime Archaeology

This course will provide students with an introduction to the field of Nautical Archaeology. The course will cover some of the processes that shipwrecks go through to become archaeological sites as well as a number of shipwreck sites that have been investigated including some of those found in the vicinity of St. Augustine. The course will also cover some of the methodology used in the field. Students will get some hands on training in these techniques.
