ANT 472 - Environmental Archaeology Lab Intensive Credits: 2
Prerequisite(s): ANT 220 This class is an intensive lab-based course that focuses on analyzing biotic materials to answer questions concerning the relationships among humans, cultural systems, and the natural world, as reflected in the archaeological record. The general goal of the course is to promote understanding of the vital interplay between human societies, with their diverse systems of belief and cultural practices, and the biotic resources that surround them. Instruction is through weekly laboratory sessions utilizing specific types or classes of biotic materials. Student participation is of the utmost importance– you are expected to actively participate in laboratory sessions.
