MAT 113 - Intermediate Algebra with Lab Credits: 3
Prerequisite(s): Two years of high school mathematics, including Algebra I, or placement. Major topics include linear equations, linear inequalities and their graphs; polynomial expressions; operations with rational expressions; systems of linear equations; and quadratic equations. The concept of a function and modeling data with formulas/ functions will be introduced. Students will be required to attend a supplemental lab component (MAT 010 ) to help strengthen their skills. This course cannot be used to satisfy the general education mathematics requirement.
