COR 142 - Quantitative Reasoning & Stewardship Credits: 3
Prerequisite(s): MAT 113 or placement. Courses with the “COR” prefix are part of the Flagler College Core Curriculum. Each COR course satisfies a Flagler Core Literacy requirement and also counts towards the Flagler Value Pathway requirements.
Any course with the COR 142 catalog number counts towards:
- The Quantitative Reasoning Literacy: Quantitative reasoning is the ability to understand and use quantitative information to come to a solid conclusion. It involves the application of basic mathematical, and critical thinking skills to draw justified conclusions from facts and evidence at hand. Students who successfully complete a quantitative reasoning course at Flagler College will be able to think analytically and apply basic mathematics and statistics skills to interpret data, draw conclusions, and solve problems within a disciplinary or interdisciplinary context.
- Students must complete one Core course in the Quantitative Reasoning Literacy. Any course listed as COR 141 , COR 142, COR 143 , or COR 144 completes this requirement.
- The Thoughtful Stewardship Value Pathway: We are dedicated to stewardship: to the care of each other, to the preservation of our historical buildings and natural resources, to the responsible management of our financial resources and gifts, and to the celebration of the remarkable heritage of St. Augustine with its vibrant cultures and history.
