Return to: Programs of Study by Department
The Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEM) minor at Flagler College provides an interdisciplinary foundation for the study of the medieval and early modern period. Through a series of courses crossing literature, history, philosophy, religious studies, and your choice of classical languages or art history, anthropology, and archaeology, you will gain a rich awareness of the cultural interactions between Europe and other world regions leading up to the modern world. Courses and events held in conjunction with the minor take up innovative recent research in intercultural analysis and global history as well as shed light upon the encounter of cultures constitutive of early colonial Florida.
